How to Mute and Unmute Players on Your Rust Server

If you're looking to moderate your Rust server by muting players, then let's get started! This guide covers everything you need to know about muting someone on your server.

Mute Tutorial

  1. Connect to your server via RCON.
  2. In the RCON console, type mute <player_name_or_steam_id>. Example: mute 76561198420408632.
  3. Press Enter to send the command and the player will now be muted.

Unmute Tutorial

To unmute a player, follow the same steps but with the unmute command.
