How to Use Admin Commands on Your Valheim Server

Admin commands are exclusive commands available for Valheim server administrators. There is a wide availability of commands for Valheim server administrators, ranging from kicking and banning players to enabling god mode.

Enabling the In-Game Console

Before you can enter any console commands in-game, you will need to be connected as an administrator and have the console startup parameter enabled.

1. From your Steam Library, right-click Valheim and click Properties.
2. Under launch options, enter -console.
3. Launch Valheim.

Available Admin Commands

To use a command in-game, you will need to open the in-game console and enter your desired command. For this example, we will be using the save command.

There are dozens of commands that a Valheim server administrator can use, so we highly recommend you visit the relevant wiki page for a full list of console commands available.

1. Connect to your Valheim server with admin permissions.
2. Press F5 to open the in-game console.
3. Enter your desired command.
