How to Add a Whitelist on Your Minecraft Server

Stop unwanted players from joining your server.

Adding a whitelist to your Minecraft server allows for a private gaming experience, blocking unwanted players from joining the server. This option is most useful when you want to play only with your friends, or when you're working on the server and don't want players to join while it's still being set up.

In order to activate the whitelist via the in-game chat, you need administrator permissions. If you don't know how to do this, please follow the guide on granting OP permissions.

Turning the Whitelist On

  1. Go to your Minecraft Server Panel on DazcoHost and make sure the server is ON.
  2. Type in the Console or in the In-Game Chat /whitelist on to activate the whitelist.
  3. Press Enter on your keyboard.
📌 Note: The players that are on the server when the setting is activated will automatically get whitelisted.

Adding a Player to the Whitelist

  1. Make sure the server is online.
  2. Type in the Console or in the In-Game Chat /whitelist add <player_name>, replacing <player_name> with the player's name.
  3. Press Enter on your keyboard.

Removing a Player from the Whitelist

  1. Make sure the server is online.
